The IRS has annouced an increase in the standard mileage rate beginning July 1, 2008, and for the remainder of 2008.
The new rates for the use of a car
(including vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:
58.5 cents per mile for business miles
27 cents per mile for medical or moving purposes
14 cents per mile for charitable organizations
Previous mileage rates 1/1/08 - 6/30/08
50.5 cents per mile for business miles
19 cents per mile for medical or moving purposes
14 cents per mile for charitable organizations
